Entered into Politics through the Kerala Youth front (M). Elected to the Kottayam District panchayat in 2000 from Kangazha Division. Elected to the panchayat for the 2nd time in 2005. Constituted in the 2006 Kerala Legislative Assembly election and was with a majority of 6666 for the Vazhoor constituency. In 2011 elected from the X constituted Kanjirapally Assembly constituency.
